Installing Oil Pump

Information 

Use > VAS 6928 - Socket wrench set, 39-piece  to tighten the screw on the sprocket.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 1.1 Replace oil pump seal.
   2. 1.2 Check that the dowel sleeves for centering the oil pump are inserted.
   3. 1.3 Position timing chain on gear wheel drive for crankshaft and oil pump sprocket and then fit oil pump sprocket with timing chain fitted.
   4. 1.4 Check that the timing chain is routed correctly in the guide and tensioning rails.
   5. 1.5 Observe specified tightening torques: 

      Screws for oil pump: > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

      Screw for sprocket: > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)  + > Final tightening + 90° 

      Screws for sprocket guard: > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

      Screws for oil intake tube: > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
