Removing Rotor Position Sensor

    → Only appropriately trained and authorized persons may work on high-voltage vehicles and components.

    → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.

    → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.

    → Always use insulated tools, such as an > VAS 6883 - insulated tool set  when working on these parts.

    → Observe general warning notices for working on the high-voltage system.

Information 

Observe the following specifications for all work described:

These strict specifications apply in particular:

  1. Only V6 Hybrid:  Remove rotor position sensor heat shield -2-  .

    Only V6 Hybrid - rotor position sensor heat shield

    1. 1.1 For vehicles with particle filter:  Loosen screw securing differential pressure line -3-  to transmission.
    2. 1.2 Remove screws -1-  and heat shield -2-  .
  2. Remove rotor position sensor -3-  .

    Rotor position sensor

    1. 2.1 Release and unplug -1-  .

      Information 

      Use new screws following removal.

    2. 2.2 Remove screws -2-  and rotor position sensor -3-  .
