Converting Expansion Valve For The Adapter

Information 

• If you do not have a suitable adapter for the expansion valve, you can also drill out the removed expansion valve (the old expansion valve must be replaced in most cases and is therefore no longer required). 
• The control element must be removed before drilling. The expansion valve must then be drilled using a suitable drill bit, for example. (Drill bit diameter: 6.0 mm for example). 
• Some parts may have to be removed from the expansion valve before drilling, depending on the type of expansion valve. 

1. Remove components -H, I and K-  from expansion valve -G-  .

2. Drill out area -L-  using a suitable drill bit.

3. Clean the drilled out expansion valve to remove any bits left after machining (chips).
4. Re-install components -H, I and K-  .
