Installing Coolant Regulator (Thermostat Insert)

Information 

Install seals with open side facing the engine.

1. Install new  seals -1 and 3-  .
   1. 1.1 Push in seal -1-  using > T40357 - thrust piece -2-  and tap it in as far as it will go.
   2. 1.2 Insert seal -3-  .

2. Insert coolant regulator and fit and tighten screws.

   > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

3. Connect and lock electric plug connection for coolant regulator -2-  .

4. Fit coolant pipe -2-  .
   1. 4.1 Replace sealing rings.
   2. 4.2 Position coolant pipe -2-  .
   3. 4.3 Fit and tighten screws -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

5. Fit suction hose -1-  .
   1. 5.1 Fit suction hose -1-  using screw-type clamps -2-  .
   2. 5.2 Tighten screw-type clamps -2-  .

      Screw-type clamp securing intake pipe to suction hose:  > Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.) 

      Screw-type clamp securing suction hose to air-cleaner cowl:  > Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)
