Removing Tie Rod

- Unscrew octagon -1-
on the ball joint of the tie rod -2-
from the rack-and-pinion using > V.A.G 1923 - Open end spanner insert, a/f 38

Detaching ball joint
- If the tie rod is replaced, the marking for the old tie rod on the wheel side must be copied to the new tie rod.
