Installing Wheel Housing Rear (Inner Section)
Information
- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.
- Install rear wheel housing (inner section) and check that it fits perfectly.
- Remove wheel housing rear (inner section).
- Apply adhesive on areas -B and C-
of the body.
Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm

- Apply adhesive on wheel housing rear (inner section) in areas -B and C-
.
Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. > Application depth 0.5 mm
Adhesive on rear wheel housing (inner section)
- 4.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface. > Application depth 3 mm
- Tack-weld rear wheel housing (inner section) in the marked area.

- Rivet in rear wheel housing (inner section). > BLIND RIVET 999.190.229.01
Blind rivets
- Resistance welding points on rear wheel housing (inner section).
Resistance spot welds
- Wheel housing rear (section inside) joining points.
Hole point on joints
- Apply a full weld to the rear wheel housing (inner section) in the marked area using insert gas.
