Installing Roof (Panoramic Roof)

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Install roof (panoramic roof) and check that it fits perfectly.
2. > Structural adhesive for bonding the roof (panoramic roof)  must be applied evenly to the joint area of the body.

   > 5X00IN21 WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE

   > Application depth 3 mm

3. > Structural adhesive for bonding the roof (panoramic roof)  must be applied evenly to the roof (panoramic roof).

   > Application depth 3 mm

4. Install roof (panoramic roof).
   1. 4.1 Fit in roof (panoramic roof) and secure it.
   2. 4.2 Rivet in roof (panoramic roof) using > flow-form rivet -A-  .

      > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

   3. 4.3 Apply aluminium-weld to roof in area -B-  .

      > 5X00IN10 WELDING ALUMINIUM
