Removing A-Pillar

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cuts B and C  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cuts -B-  and -C-  . > Distance approx. 90 mm  > Distance 160 mm

2. Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

3. Drill through clinch point in area -A-  . > Diameter 6.6 mm

4. Drill out spotwelds in the area -B-  .

5. Bend up edges in front door aperture.
   1. 5.1 Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .
   2. 5.2 Bend up edges in the front door aperture using > VAS 6635 - Crimping pliers set, 4-piece  .

6. Heat bonding surface. > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower

8. Remove A-pillar.
