Installing Front Roof Outer Section

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Install front roof outer section and check that it fits perfectly.
2. Apply adhesive evenly on the joint area of the body.

   > 5X00IN21 Working with body structural adhesive

   > Application depth 0.5 mm 

   Adhesive in joint area

3. Apply adhesive evenly on front roof outer section -A and B-  .

   > 5X00IN21 Working with body structural adhesive

   > Application depth 0.5 mm 

   1. 3.1 Also apply an adhesive bead of sealant all around the bonding surface. > Application depth 3 mm

4. Install front roof outer section.
   1. 4.1 Rivet in front roof outer section -1-  using > flow-form rivet 97A.008.473.00  .

   2. 4.2 Apply a full weld on front roof outer section -1-  (-A-  ).
