Removing Roof (Full Roof)

1. Disconnect connection points.

   Front connection points

   1. 1.1 Remove punch rivets -A-  using > VAS 852 001 - aluminium body dent removal system  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .

      > 5X00IN REPLACE PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED POINTS

   2. 1.2 Drill through clinch points -B-  . > Diameter 4 mm 
2. Disconnect connection points.

   Rear connection points

   1. 2.1 Remove punch rivets -A-  using > VAS 852 001 - aluminium body dent removal system  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .

      > 5X00IN REPLACE PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED POINTS

   2. 2.2 Drill through clinch points -B-  . > Diameter 4 mm 
   3. 2.3 Grind down welded seams -C-  .
3. Heat bonding areas.

   Bonding areas removal

   Information 

   Adhesive tape serves as cut line.

4. Affix adhesive tape -1-  along the edge of the roof on both sides as per dimension -X-  . > Gap dimension X 4 mm

   Information 

   • Only cut through the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this. 
5. Make cut on both sides.

   Information 

   The help of another person is required.

6. Remove roof (full roof).

   Information 

   During separation make sure that the components beneath are not damaged.

7. Remove remaining pieces of roof -1-  .

Remaining pieces of roof

1. 7.1 Disconnect laser connections on roof rails.
2. 7.2 Remove remaining pieces of roof -1-  .
