Removing Starter (V6 Turbo)

WARNING:
Working with ATF
- Possible danger of injury or damage (e.g. swollen hoses, skin irritation, danger of slipping, etc.)
- → Before lines are opened, place a cloth underneath them!
- → Components that come into contact with ATF must be cleaned IMMEDIATELY with water!
- → Take appropriate protective measures (protective clothing, safety goggles, oil binding material)
- → Collect emerging ATF!
- Disconnect wiring harness for starter -1-
from engine mount bracket.
- 1.1 Unscrew nut -2- .
- 1.2 Remove wiring harness for starter -1- from engine mount bracket.
Electric line from starter to engine support
- Remove engine support -1-
.
- 2.1 Unscrew screws on engine support -2- .
- 2.2 Guide out engine support
Right engine support
- Disconnect lines for ATF cooling -1-
at the bottom.
- 3.1 Unscrew screws -2- .
ATF cooling line, bottom
- Disconnect lines for ATF cooling -1-
at the top.
- 4.1 Unscrew screws -2 and 3- .
- 4.2
Disconnect lines for ATF cooling -1-
.
- 4.2.1 Replace O-rings on lines for ATF cooling.
- 4.2.2 Catch escaping ATF and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- 4.3
Move lines for ATF cooling -1-
aside.
ATF cooling line, top
- Remove starter -1-
.
- 5.1 Unscrew nut -2- and remove B+ line from the starter -1- .
- 5.2 Release and disconnect cable plug -3- .
- 5.3 Unscrew screw -4- .
- 5.3.1 Replace screw.
- 5.4
Unscrew screw -5-
and guide out the starter -1-

- 5.4.1 Replace screw.
