Removing Coolant Regulator

NOTIFICATION 

Danger of slipping due to emerging coolant 

• The emerging coolant will make the floor of the workshop slippery and may cause people to slip and fall over. 
  1. → Collect emerging coolant in a suitable pan.

1. Remove coolant pipe -2-  .

   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Pull off coolant pipe -2-  and set it aside.
2. Disconnect electric line from coolant regulator.

   Electric plug connection for coolant regulator

   1. 2.1  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Unclip clips -2-  .
      WARNING: Hot fluid 

      • Danger of scalding 
        1. → Let the fluid cool down.
        2. → Wear personal protective gear.
3. Remove coolant regulator -1-  .

   Coolant regulator

   1. 3.1  Unscrew screws -2-  .
   2. 3.2  Remove coolant regulator -1-  .
4. Pull off seals -1-  using > VW771 - multi-purpose tool-2-  and > VW771/37 - puller hook-3-  . Alternatively, use a commercially available assembly lever.
