Removing Coolant Pump

NOTIFICATION 

Incorrect handling of pulley 

• Risk of damage to pulley 
  1. → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not prise off the pulley with a screwdriver.
  2. → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.

1. Remove coolant pipe -1-  .

   Coolant pipe for coolant pump

   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -2-  .
   2. 1.2  Take off coolant pipe -1-  .

      Information 

      • To ease removal, spray the pulley from the rear side with an anti-corrosion agent. 
2. Remove pulley -1-  .

   Coolant pump pulley

   1. 2.1  > T10172A - Counter-hold tool-2-  must be fitted on the pulley -1-  , then unscrew screws on the pulley -3-  .
   2. 2.2  Remove pulley -1-  .
3. Remove coolant pipe over the coolant pump -1-  .

   1. 3.1  Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -2-  .
   2. 3.2  Pull coolant pipe over coolant pump -1-  off the cylinder head and shut-off valve.
4. Remove coolant pump -9-  .

   Coolant pump

   1. 4.1  Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging coolant.
   2. 4.2  Pull off the vacuum hose -8-  .
   3. 4.3  Unscrew screws on the coolant pump in the sequence -7 to 1-  .
   4. 4.4  Remove coolant pump -9-  and catch escaping coolant using suitable aids.
