Preliminary Work

1. Remove cover for front underbody.
   • WM, 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V6 TURBO)

Removing engine cover (design cover) 

1. Carefully pull the engine cover (design cover) -1-  up off the four fastening points one at a time -Arrows-  .

   Engine cover (design cover) 

2. Set engine cover (design cover) -1-  down with visible side on a soft surface -2-  and check it.

   Engine cover (design cover) - underside 

   1. Check heat insulation, spotwelds and air baffle plates for damage.
      1. Replace engine cover (design cover) if damaged. 
   2. Check rubber plug-in couplings -3-  for damage and replace them if necessary.

Installing engine cover (design cover) 

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. The rubber plug-in couplings must engage securely.
   2. Check that the engine cover (design cover) is fitte securely by pulling on it.
