Attaching Balancing Weights

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Information

  1. Determine the exact position of the balancing weights (stick on balancing weights temporarily, if necessary, using a strip of adhesive tape until you find the correct position).
  2. Prepare bonding surface on the rim. The bonding surface must be perfectly clean and free of grease.
  3. Remove protective paper from the bonding surface of the weight and press the weight firmly into place.
  4. The balance stick-on weight must be touching the rim uniformly over the entire surface.
  5. Check that the balancing weight is fitted securely. A freshly affixed weight must not become detached from the rim when a shear load is applied at right angles to its longitudinal axis.
