Removing Catalytic Converter

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

1. Loosen the front silencer -1-  on the catalytic converter.

   Catalytic converter flange

   1. 1.1  Unscrew nuts -2-  .
   2. 1.2  Pull front silencer -1-  down.
   3. 1.3  Replace seal -3-  and nuts -1-  .
2. Remove catalytic converter -1-  .

   Catalytic converter

   1. 2.1  Unscrew screw on spring/tab assembly -2-  .
   2. 2.2  Loosen V-band clamp -3-  .
   3. 2.3  Remove catalytic converter -1-  and guide out of the engine compartment.
   4. 2.4  Replace V-band clamp -3-  .
3. Replace seal -1-  .
