Removing Lower Part Of Front Lid Lock

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
• Some steps must be carried out automatically.
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

1. Unscrew the screws -1-  from front lock lower part -2-  and pull the front lock lower part -2-  up and out.

2. Loosen lower part of front lid lock.

   1. 2.1  Unclip microswitch on front lock lower part -Arrows-  .
   2. 2.2  Remove operating cables -2-  on front lock lower part.
      1. 2.2.1  Unclip operating cables -2-  on front lock lower part.
      2. 2.2.2  Disengage ball joints -1-  for the operating cables -2-  from front lock lower part.
3. Remove front lock lower part.
