Removing Lock Carrier Side Section At The Left

Information 

• For all work on the air-conditioning system that necessitates opening the refrigerant system, the system contents must first be disposed of in accordance with regulations. 
• Dirt and moisture must be kept out of the air-conditioning system's pipes and hoses. 
• Thorough cleanliness must be ensured during all work. 
• System components must never be cleaned on the inside with hot steam. 
• Only use nitrogen for cleaning. 
• When replacing a component, all openings must be closed off using suitable stoppers immediately after opening the system. 

1. For R4 engine: 

   Loosen screw-type clamp -1-  and pull charge air hose -2-  off the charge-air cooler.

2. Disconnect electric wire harness at the front -4-  .

   Electric plug connections

   1. 2.1  Release and unplug electric plug connections -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  on airbag sensor.
   3. 2.3  Unclip line bracket -3-  for electric wire harness at the front -4-  and move electric wire harness at the front -4-  aside and out of the work area.
3. Loosen refrigerant lines -1-  at the connection point.

   Refrigerant lines

   1. 3.1  Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
   2. 3.2  Disconnect refrigerant lines -1-  at the connection point.
   3. 3.3  Close off refrigerant lines -1-  using suitable stoppers.
   4. 3.4  Unscrew screw -3-  and remove refrigerant lines -1-  from the holder.
4. Unscrew screw -1-  from left support -3-  .

5. Disconnect coolant hose -2-  .

   Coolant hose

   1. 5.1  Loosen safety clip -1-  on coolant hose -2-  .
   2. 5.2  Pull off coolant hose -2-  and close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
6. Unscrew screw -1-  and support the radiator assembly -2-  from below using a jack.

7. Unscrew and remove screws -2 and 3-  .

8. Remove lock carrier side section at the left -3-  .

   Cooler

   1. 8.1  Carefully pull the radiator assembly -2-  forward.
   2. 8.2  Unclip holder -4-  on lock carrier side section at the left -3-  and remove lock carrier side section at the left -3-  .
