Preliminary Work

Disconnect battery ground strap.

Drain refrigerant from the air-conditioning system.
For refrigerant R1234yf:

For refrigerant R134a:

Drain coolant.
For R4 engine:

For V6 Turbo engine:

For V6 Diesel engine:

Remove front carrier at the left.

Remove left headlight.

Remove front left retaining strip.

Remove pedestrian protection.

For V6 Turbo engine:
1. 8.1 Remove both air guides for the left charge-air cooler.
2. 8.2 Remove charge-air cooler at the left lock carrier side section and secure it in the wheel housing.
