Installing Left Halfshaft Flange

Check sealing ring for front left halfshaft flange -1- for damage.

Sealing ring for front left halfshaft flange
1. 1.1 If the sealing ring is damaged, replace the sealing ring for the front left halfshaft flange
  > 395955 - REPLACING SEALING RING FOR FRONT HALFSHAFT FLANGE
2. 1.2 Half-fill the space between the sealing and dust lips with sealing grease.
Install drive plate.
> 136319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE PLATE
Install the left halfshaft flange

Left halfshaft flange
1. 3.1 Turn the drive plate until the opening for the differential is visible.
2. 3.2 Carefully insert the left halfshaft flange -1- into the sealing ring as far as the stop.
3. 3.3 Fit and tighten new screws -2- .
  > Initial - tightening 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
  
  > Final tightening + 45°
