Subsequent Work

  1. Install brake disc air guide.

    > 461619 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING BRAKE DISC AIR GUIDE - SECTION ON "INSTALLING"

  2. Install front-axle support.

    > 400819 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT-AXLE SUPPORT - SECTION ON "INSTALLING"

  3. Install front wheels.

    > 440519 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL - SECTION ON "INSTALLING"

  4. Perform suspension alignment.

    > 449503 - PERFORMING FRONT/REAR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT

  5. Teach steering lock settings.
    1. 5.1 Connect battery charger.

      > 2X00IN - BATTERY TRICKLE CHARGING

    2. 5.2 Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and then select the power steering  control unit in the control unit overview.
    3. 5.3 Select the Automatic coding  function in the Coding/programming  menu, press F12 to start and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester  .
    4. 5.4 Disconnect the battery charger from the vehicle.
  6. Calibrate steering-angle sensor for PSM.

    > 456005 - CHECKING AND ADJUSTING STEERING-ANGLE SENSOR FOR PSM
