Removing Tie Rod

If the tie rod is replaced, the marking for the old tie rod on the wheel side must be copied to the new tie rod.

Remove tie rod -1- .

Tie rod ball joint
1. 1.1 Fit > V.A.G 1923 - open-end spanner insert, a/f 38 at the octagon -2- of the tie rod -1- and loosen the tie rod -1- .
2. 1.2 Unscrew and remove tie rod -1- from the rack-and-pinion -3- .
