Removing Inner Side Member

Information 

Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

1. Heat the marked area and remove bulkheads -1-  . > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-air blower

   Baffles

2. Drill out spot-welds using a > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld remover  .

   Front inner side member

   1. 2.1  Only drill the spotwelds -LHD vehicle -  through one  plate thickness.
   2. 2.2  Drill out spotwelds -RHD vehicle -  through two  plate thicknesses.
3. Remove reinforcement.
4. Drill out spot-welds using a > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld remover  .

   Rear inner side member

5. Heat the marked bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

6. Remove inner side member.
