Removing B-Pillar Reinforcement

Cut a window into the outer B-pillar/roof pillar in the upper B-pillar area.

Information

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information

Mark cuts X, Y and Z in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1.1 Mark and make cuts.
> Distance 80 mm

> Distance 110 mm

> Distance 90 mm

1.2 Drill out spot-welds using a > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld remover .

Upper B-pillar section

Make a rough cut -Arrows- through the B-pillar reinforcement and inner B-pillar.

2.1 Drill out spot-welds using a > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld remover .

2.2 Remove remaining pieces of B-pillar reinforcement.
