Installing Roof

Information 

• Have this work carried out by an assistant whilst at the same time starting with the welding work. 

1. Apply adhesive evenly.

   1. 1.1  Apply structural adhesive evenly in areas -LHD vehicle-  .

      > 5X00IN21 WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE PAH.071.781.00

   2. 1.2  Apply window adhesive in areas -Item C-  .

      > *** 6X00IN22 Working with Porsche 2-component window adhesive

2. Fit roof on rear roof frame with the help of two people -arrow A-  and swivel it in towards the front -arrow B-  .

3. Clean roof surface in the side panel area.

   1. 3.1  Remove most of the excess adhesive using a plastic spatula or cloth.
   2. 3.2  Carefully clean visible surfaces with a cloth. If necessary, wet cloths with isopropanol, for example.

      Avoid getting solvent into the adhesive at all costs!

4. Resistance spot-weld the front of the roof.

6. Bond in roof reinforcements -1-  and -2-  with window adhesive.
