Removing Coolant Pump

NOTIFICATION
Incorrect handling of pulley
- Risk of damage to pulley
- → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not prise off the pulley with a screwdriver.
- → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.
- Remove coolant pipe -1-

Coolant pipe for coolant pump
- 1.1 Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -2- .
- 1.2 Take off coolant pipe
Information
- To ease removal, spray the pulley from the rear side with an anti-corrosion agent.
- Remove pulley -1-

Coolant pump pulley
- 2.1 > T10172A - Counter-hold tool-2- must be fitted on the pulley -1- , then unscrew screws on the pulley -3- .
- 2.2 Remove pulley -1- .
- Remove coolant pipe over the coolant pump -1-

Coolant pipe above coolant pump
- 3.1 Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -2- .
- 3.2 Pull coolant pipe over coolant pump -1- off the cylinder head and shut-off valve.
- Remove coolant pump -9-

Coolant pump
- 4.1 Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging coolant.
- 4.2 Pull off the vacuum hose -8- .
- 4.3 Unscrew screws on the coolant pump in the sequence -7 to 1- .
- 4.4 Remove coolant pump -9- and catch escaping coolant using suitable aids.
