Removing Control Unit For Distance Measuring Sensor

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  1. → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
  2. → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

1. Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
2. Disengage trim cover -1-  at the left and right of the holder -2-  for the distance measuring sensor control unit -arrows -3-  and remove it.

   Information 

   Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

   • Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
   • Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation. 
   • Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 
3. Release electric plug connection -1-  (-arrows 2-  ) and disconnect it from the distance measuring sensor control unit -3-  .

4. Unclip bracket for electric line -4-  at the holder for the distance measuring sensor control unit -3-  and set electric line -4-  aside.

5. Loosen air guide -1-  close to the distance measuring sensor control unit -2-  at the lock carrier.

6. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  and remove distance measuring sensor -2-  control unit and holder.
