Removing Control Unit For Rear-Differential Lock

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  1. → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
  2. → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
• Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation. 
• Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 

1. Remove control unit for rear-differential lock -1-  .

   Control unit for rear-differential lock

   1. 1.1  Disengage locking mechanisms -arrows a-  and swivel control unit for rear-differential lock -1-  out of the holder -arrow b-  .
   2. 1.2  Remove control unit for rear-differential lock -1-  by pulling it forward out of the clips -2-  .
2. Release electric plug connection -1-  (-arrow a-  ) and disconnect it from the rear-differential lock control unit -2-  .
