Installing ATF Pan

NOTIFICATION 

Dirt and contamination 

• Risk of damage to units or components 
  1. → Protect components from dirt and contamination.
  2. → Clean or replace dirty components.

Information 

• The engine must not be started if there is no ATF in the transmission. 
• Risk of damage to the transmission. 

1. Fit  new seal -1-  .

   ATF-pan seal

   1. 1.1  Clean sealing face on the ATF pan -2-  .
   2. 1.2  Insert nubs of the new seal -1-  into the ATF pan -2-  .
2. Clean the magnetic strips -1-  and check that they are fitted over the entire surface in the ATF pan.

3. Install ATF pan -1-  .

   1. 3.1  Clean the sealing surface on the transmission.
   2. 3.2  Fit the ATF pan -1-  , fit screws -2 to 16-  and tighten crosswise.
      • Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
