Removing Valve Lifters

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. If you intend to re-use valve lifters, safety clips and valve levers: 

    Mark allocation of the components using a coloured marker.

    Information 

    If you intend to re-use hydraulic tappets and valve levers, check that the components are not damaged.

  2. Remove valve lifter -1-  and valve lever -2-  .
    1. 2.1  Take valve lifter -1-  with valve lever -2-  out of the cylinder head together.
    2. 2.2  Check component allocation and check that all components are fitted.

  3. Remove valve lifter -2-  from valve lever -3-  .
    1. 3.1  Open safety clip -1-  carefully.
    2. 3.2  Remove safety clip -1-  and valve lifter -2-  .
