Subsequent Work: Notes

  1. Only if removed in order to remove the double clutch transmission: 

    Install power-steering gear.

    • 489019 Removing and installing power-steering gear 
  2. Secure the locking cable.
    • 371319 Removing and installing locking cable 
  3. Connect ATF cooling line.
    • 386219 Removing and installing line for ATF cooling (V6 Turbo) 
  4. Install air-conditioning compressor.
    • 873419 Removing and installing air-conditioning compressor 
  5. Secure pressure hose to charge-air cooler.
    • 214319 Removing and installing charge-air cooler 
  6. Install front underbody cover.
    • 519219 Removing and installing cover for front underbody 
  7. Install rear cardan shaft.
    • 393519 Removing and installing rear cardan shaft 
  8. Only for vehicles with PCCB brakes: 

    Install front PCCB brake discs.

    • 465119 Removing and installing front PCCB brake disc 
  9. Secure front brake callipers.
    • 473909 Loosening and securing front brake calliper 
  10. Install front wheel housing liners.
    • 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner 
  11. Install front wheels.
    • 440519 Removing and installing wheel 
  12. Install filler neck for washer-fluid reservoir.
    • 926019 Removing and installing windscreen-washer reservoir 
  13. Fill in coolant.
    • 193817 Draining and filling coolant (V6 Turbo) 
  14. Install cowl panel cover.
    • 508719 Removing and installing cowl panel cover 
  15. Install front strut.
    • 408619 Removing and installing front strut 
  16. Install DME control unit.
    • 247019 Removing and installing DME control unit 
  17. Secure pressure hose to throttle housing.
    • 244219 Removing and installing throttle housing 
  18. Install torque support.
    • 103719 Removing and installing torque support (V6 Turbo) 
  19. Install air cleaner housing.
    • 242519 Removing and installing air cleaner housing (V6 Turbo) 
  20. Install engine cover (design cover).
    • 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) (R4) 
  21. Move bonnet to its normal position.
    • 552213 Securing front lid (service position) 
  22. Connect the battery.
    • 270619 Removing and installing vehicle electrical system battery 
  23. Perform suspension alignment.
    • 449503 Performing front + rear suspension alignment
