Removing Control Unit For PARKASSIST

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  1. → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
  2. → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

1. Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
2. Unscrew fastening nuts -Arrows-  and remove ParkAssist control unit -1-  .

   Information 

   Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

   • Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
   • Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation. 
   • Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 
3. Release electric plug connections -2 to 4-  and disconnect them from the ParkAssist control unit.
