Information
Calibrating the reversing camera balances the tyres, chassis tolerances and installation tolerances of the camera.
- The> VAS 6350A - Calibration unit and - a> VAS 6350/2A - Spacing laser are - needed for calibration.
- During calibration, the control unit for the reversing camera calculates the vehicle-specific adjustment values (e.g. image rectification) for the camera image.
- After the actual calibration process, the rectified image can be seen on the vehicle display.
Information
Calibration must only be performed on level ground.
On vehicles with air suspension, switch on ignition, close the doors and set the air suspension level to Normal level (MEDIUM HEIGHT).

behind the vehicle in accordance with the operating instructions for VAS 6350.

MP 1 to 4 Measuring points

- Fit the wheel nut supports and reflectors on the vehicle in accordance with the operating instructions for VAS 6350. The reflectors must be hanging freely.
Fitting reflectors
- Align the work surface with the centre of the vehicle and adjust the line laser to suit the calibration plate in accordance with the operating instructions for VAS 6350.
The distances between the calibration plates and the vehicle are stored in the PIWIS Tester.
- Clean reversing camera using a soft, clean cloth.
