Adjusting Lock Peg (Striker Pin)

Lock peg

• The lock peg (striker pin) can be adjusted by changing the plasticity of the adjusting element in the B-pillar. 
• The setting is retained when the lock peg is removed. 

1. Loosen screws -2-  .

2. Adjust the striker pin -1-  outwards -Arrow-  .

   Lock peg

   1. 2.1  Move the striker pin -1-  outwards using > VAS 6965 - puller set-Arrow-  .
   2. 2.2  Carefully close the door and check adjustment.
      • 5X00IN Gap dimensions 
3. Adjust the lock peg -1-  inwards/down/up.

   Lock peg

   1. 3.1  Move the lock peg -1-  to the required position using a plastic hammer.
   2. 3.2  Carefully close the door and check adjustment.
      • 5X00IN Gap dimensions 
4. Tighten screws -2-  to > Tightening - torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)  .
