Installing Rear Spring Damper
WARNING:
Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly

→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).
Information
Recommendation for workshops replacing shock absorbers/spring dampers:
- Dampers can be replaced separately up to a mileage of 30, 000 km or 3 years.
- If the mileage is > 30, 000 km or the components are more than 3 years old, we recommend replacing them in pairs.
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Tighten new screw on spring damper and new lock nut on trailing arm to > Initial tightening 70 Nm (52 ftlb.) (51.6 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 180 (133 ftlb) °
- 1.2 Tighten new screws securing spring damper to the body with > Initial tightening 50 Nm (36.9 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 90°
