Preliminary Work: Notes

Information 

• Air springs (air bellows) can be replaced individually.
• For vehicles that have been moved with leaks in the air spring system or have been driven to the workshop without air, we recommend that you replace the air bellows in pairs.

1. Empty the relevant air bellows.

   > 430117 BLEEDING AND FILLING THE LEVEL CONTROL 

2. Remove stone guard for valve unit -1-  .

   1. 2.1  Unscrew nuts -2-  and remove stone guard for valve unit -1- 
3. Release residual pressure from the relevant air bellows.

   Valve unit

   1. 3.1  Slowly loosen union nut -1 or 2-  on the relevant air line -3 or 4-  at the valve unit. Do not unscrew fully until the residual pressure has escaped!

      Union nut -1-  on line -4-  when removing right air bellows.

      Union nut -2-  on line -3-  when removing left air bellows.
