Installing Front Air-Spring Strut

Information 

• Air spring modules can be replaced individually, irrespective of mileage and age.
• No service life restriction!

Information 

Check the following before installing the air line:

• Check that the cutting ring -1-  and Voss threaded joint -2-  are still on the air line -3-  .
• Check that the air line is fitted correctly.

Only one marking -1-  °n the air line should be visible.

Pull the air line briefly against the insertion direction. If it cannot be pulled out, the air line is fitted correctly.

Checking that air line is fitted correctly

1. Installation is performed in reverse order.
   1. 1.1  Air-spring strut to body -2-  > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 90°.

   2. 1.2  Voss connection (air line) to air-spring struts -2-  > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)  .

   3. 1.3  Housing for external power connection -1-  to body > Tightening torque 3 (2 ftlb.)  Nm.
