Installing Front Air-Spring Strut
Information
- Air spring modules can be replaced individually, irrespective of mileage and age.
- No service life restriction!
Information
Check the following before installing the air line:
- Check that the cutting ring -1- and Voss threaded joint -2- are still on the air line -3- .
- Check that the air line is fitted correctly.
Checking air line
Only one marking -1- °n the air line should be visible.
Pull the air line briefly against the insertion direction. If it cannot be pulled out, the air line is fitted correctly.

- Installation is performed in reverse order.

> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 90°.
Mounting for air-spring strut on body
- 1.2
Voss connection (air line) to air-spring struts -2-
> Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)

Housing for external power connection -1-
to body > Tightening torque 3 (2 ftlb.)

Housing for external power connection

Wire harness for connecting battery starter -3-
external power connection > Tightening torque 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)
Wire harness for battery starter
- 1.1
Air-spring strut to body -2-
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 90°.
