Removing Tie Rod

Information 

• If the tie rod is replaced, the marking for the old tie rod on the wheel side must be copied to the new tie rod. 

1. Remove tie rod -2-  .

   Tie rod ball joint

   1. 1.1  Position > V.A.G 1923 - open end spanner insert, a/f 38  on the octagon -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Loosen the octagon -1-  at the ball joint of the tie rod -2-  .
   3. 1.3  Remove tie rod -2-  .
