Replacing Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose

NOTIFICATION 

Dirt and contamination 

• Risk of damage to units or components 
  • → Protect components from dirt and contamination.
  • → Clean or rep ace dirty components.

Information 

• Clean all line connections carefully and close them off or cover them. 
• Use suitable stoppers for closing off lines. 

Information 

• Only unscrew the screw if the positive crankcase ventilation hose needs to be replaced. 
• Always ensure that a new screw with the part number 9A710344800 is used. 

1. Replace positive crankcase ventilation hose -2-  .

   Positive crankcase ventilation hose

   1. 1.1  Loosen screw -1-  using a multiple-tooth socket wrench (M6).
   2. 1.2  Drive the multiple-tooth socket wrench into the screw head using a hammer.
   3. 1.3  Loosen the screw -1-  using jerking movements and unscrew.
   4. 1.4  Replace positive crankcase ventilation hose - 2-.
   5. 1.5  Fit new screw -1-  and tighten using > VAS 6970 - bit insert  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
