Preliminary Work
- Danger of fire or explosion
- → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
- → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.
- Danger of poisoning or suffocation
- Danger of burns to the eyes and skin
- → Ventilate the work area well.
- → Never ingest or inhale.
- → Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.
- Attach or mount a warning sign in a clearly visible position on the vehicle.

Information
- The position of the fuse for the fuel pump can be found in the current Porsche After Sales vehicle electrical system documentation (PAB) fuse assignment.

- Relieve fuel pressure in the system.
- 2.1 Pull out the fuse for the fuel pump.
- 2.2 Start the engine, wait until it cuts out and then re-insert the fuse.
- Disconnect supply line -1-
at connection point in engine compartment.

- 3.1 Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging fuel.
- 3.2 Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- 3.3 Release and disconnect quick connector on supply line -2- in the engine compartment.
- 3.4 Collect emerging fuel.
- 3.5 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- Disconnect vacuum line -1-
from vacuum reservoir.

- Disconnect return line -2-
at the engine connection point.

- 5.1 Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging fuel.
- 5.2 Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- 5.3 Loosen hose clamp on return line -1- in the engine compartment.
- 5.4 Pull off return line -2- .
- 5.5 Collect emerging fuel.
- 5.6 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
- Disconnect the battery.

- Only vehicles with PDK:
Disconnect 48-volt vehicle electrical system.

- Removing air cleaner housing.

- Remove intake pipe.

- Remove torque support.

- Only for vehicles with V8:
Disconnect refrigerant lines at the air-conditioning compressor.
- Only for vehicles with V6:
Remove air-conditioning compressor with refrigerant lines connected in a downward direction and hang them at a suitable position.

- Remove front-axle support.
- Drain coolant.

- Loosen coolant reservoir.
- Remove both front wheel housing liners.

- Remove exhaust system.
- Remove Cardan shaft.

- Remove silencer.
