Removing Catalytic Converter

Hot components 

• Risk of burns 
  1. → Let hot components cool down.
  2. → Wear personal protective gear.

• Treat corroded components with anti-rust agent or heat. 

Information 

• The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical. 

1. Position transmission jack under the catalytic converter and secure it with a tension strap to prevent it from falling down.
2. Unscrew nuts -1-  on the exhaust flange.

3. Unscrew screw -1-  on catalytic converter holder.

4. Remove catalytic converter -1-  .

   Catalytic converter

   1. 4.1  Loosen clamp securing catalytic converter to exhaust system and push it to the rear towards the exhaust system.
   2. 4.2  Unscrew screws -2-  on exhaust bracket and remove catalytic converter -1-  using the transmission jack.
