Removing Padding For Front Seat

  1. Only on the passenger seat and on vehicles with fire extinguisher (under the passenger seat) (I-no. 6A7):

    Fire extinguisher holder

    1. 1.1  Open tension strap -1-  and remove fire extinguisher -2-  .
    2. 1.2  Unscrew screws -3-  and remove fire extinguisher holder -4-  from the tubular frame holder -6-  .
    3. 1.3  Unscrew screws -5-  and remove tubular frame holder -6-  from the seat frame.
  2. Only on the driver seat on vehicles with front 18-way sports seats or front 14-way comfort seat (I-no. Q1J or Q2J): 

    Only on the passenger seat without fire extinguisher (under the passenger seat) (I-no. 6A7) on vehicles with front 18-way sports seats or front 14-way comfort seat (I-no. Q1J or Q2J): 

    Remove fold-out compartment -2-  .

    1. 2.1  Open fold-out compartment -2-  .
    2. 2.2  Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .
    3. 2.3  Disengage fold-out compartment -2-  from the seat frame.
  3. Only on the driver seat on vehicles with front 8-way standard seat (I-no. Q1A): 

    Only on the passenger seat without hie extinguisher (under the passenger seat) (I-no. 6A7) on vehicles with front 8-way standard seat (I-no. Q1A): 

    Remove front cover -2-  .

    1. 3.1  Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .
    2. 3.2  Disengage front cover -2-  from the seat frame.
  4. Disengage clamping strip -2-  and detach front seat cover -1-  from the seat frame.

  5. Disengage clamping strip -2-  and detach front seat cover -1-  at the rear on the seat frame.

  6. Disengage front seat cover -3-  at the inside.

    1. 6.1  Disengage tension straps -1-  and guide them out.
    2. 6.2  Disengage clamping strip -2-  and detach front seat cover -3-  at the inside on the seat frame.
  7. Disengage tension straps -1-  , guide them through and detach front seat cover -2-  at the outside on the seat frame.

  8. Only for vehicles with front 18-way sports seats or front 14-way comfort seat (I-no. Q1J or Q2J): 

    Detach padding for seat-surface extension.

    Information 

    Carefully fold front seat cover up and over on the seat-surface extension to prevent the seat cover from tearing at the corners.

    1. 8.1  Disengage clamping strip -2-  on the seat-surface extension and fold the front seat cover -1-  up and over.

    2. 8.2  Disengage clamping strips -2-  and move front seat cover -1-  upwards in the seat-surface extension area.

    3. 8.3  Move padding -1-  for the seat-surface extension towards the rear.

  9. Only for vehicles with independently adjustable seat heating for front seats (I-no. 4A3): 

    Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  and guide electric wire harness -2-  up through the seat frame and front seat cover.

  10. Only for vehicles with independently adjustable seat heating for front seats (I-no. 4A3): 

    Disconnect electric wire harness for seat heating -3-  at the seat frame.

    1. 10.1  Release and unplug electric plug connection -1-  .
    2. 10.2  Remove clips -2-  .
    3. 10.3  Disconnect electric wire harness for seat heating -3-  at the seat frame and guide it out.
  11. Only for vehicles with front 18-way sports seats or front 14-way comfort seat (I-no. Q1J or Q2J): 

    Disengage rear clamping strip -1-  on the < eat-surface extension -2-  .

  12. Only for vehicles with front 8-way standard seat (I-no. Q1 A): 

    Remove padding for front seat -1-  .

  13. Only for vehicles with front 18-way sports seats or front 14-way comfort seat (I-no. Q1J or Q2J): 

    Remove padding for front seat -1-  .

    1. 13.1  Lift up padding for front seat -1-  at the rear.
    2. 13.2  Guide out the front tension straps -2-  under the seat-surface extension -3-  .
    3. 13.3  Remove padding for front seat -1-  .
