Adjusting Lock Peg (Striker Pin)

Adjusting element for striker pin

• The striker pin can be adjusted by changing the plasticity of the adjusting element in the B-pillar. 
• The setting is retained when the striker pin is removed. 

1. Move lock peg -1-  outwards.

   Slide hammer

   1. 1.1 Loosen the fastening screws -2-  .
   2. 1.2 Move lock peg -1-  outwards using > VAS 6965 - slide hammer kit  .
2. Adjust the striker pin -1-  by moving it to the rear, down and up.

   Plastic hammer

   1. 2.1 Move the lock peg -1-  to the required position using a plastic hammer.
   2. 2.2 Carefully close the door and check that the lock peg -1-  is positioned correctly with respect to the lock.
   3. 2.3 Tighten fastening screws -2-  to > Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)  .
