Installing Servo Motor For Rear Axle Steering

1. 1.1 Position servo motor for rear axle steering -1-  and fit new  screws -2-  , but do not tighten yet!

2. 1.2 Attach > T40326 - locking tool  at the right.

   1. 1.2.1 Observe inscription -2-  "right". "Arrow" must be pointing in direction of travel.
   2. 1.2.2 Insert > T40326 - locking tool  into bore -3-  .
   3. 1.2.3 Position servo motor for rear axle steering -1-  at points -4-  on the pin of the > T40326 - locking tool  .
3. 1.3 Attach > T40326 - locking tool  at the left.

   1. 1.3.1 Observe inscription -2-  "left". "Arrow" must be pointing in direction of travel.
   2. 1.3.2 Insert > T40326 - locking tool  into bore -3-  .
   3. 1.3.3 Position servo motor for rear axle steering -1-  at semi-circular supports -4-  on the pin of the > T40326 - locking tool  .

Servo motor for rear axle steering

1. 2.1 Tighten screws -2-  .

   > Initial tightening 90 Nm (66.4 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening + 180° 

2. 2.2 Connect and lock electric plug connection -3 and 4-  .
3. 2.3 Remove > T40326 - locking tool  .

Heat shield on servo motor for rear axle steering

1. 3.1 Position heat shield -1-  .
2. 3.2 Fit and tighten screws for heat shield -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)

Stone guard for valve unit

1. 4.1 Position stone guard for valve unit -1-  and tighten nuts -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
