Centring Camber On The Front Axle
Information
The PDCC system can be active when the ignition is switched on (even when the vehicle is stationary). To avoid injury/crushing, only work near the anti-roll bar, lower trailing arm and bellows of the steering gear when the ignition is switched off and always allow for the run-on time of 60 seconds.

Front axle carrier
Information
- Camber at the front axle cannot be adjusted. But camber can be centred evenly within the tolerance range by moving the front-axle carrier.
- All axle adjustment values must be checked whenever the camber is adjusted.
- The front-axle carrier only needs to be moved if the camber values are not correct.
- Centre camber on the front axle.
Centring front axle camber
- 5.1 Check camber value.
- 5.2 Raise the vehicle front at the lifting platform jacking points using an axle lift.
- 5.3 Fit plastic-coated tyre iron between front axle carrier -1- and body longitudinal member -2- and move front axle carrier -1-Arrow- in order to centre the camber.
- Tighten the screws you just replaced -2 and 3-
on the front axle carrier -1-
.
Screws -2- : > Initial tightening torque 115 Nm (84.8 ftlb.) > Final tightening torque + 90°
Screws -3- : > Initial tightening torque 130 Nm (95.9 ftlb.) > Final tightening torque + 180°

- Check camber value again.
- Install heat shield -1-
.
Re-connect the cable plug on vehicles with PDCC .
Heat shield
- 8.1 Position heat shield -1- and fit screws -2- .
- 8.2 Tighten screws -2- .
Heat shield (one-piece): On front axle carrier > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
