Installing Head Airbag

WARNING:
Incorrect handling of safety bolts
- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque
- → Always use new screws or nuts following removal.
- → Comply with instructions for repairs.
- → Observe specified tightening torques.
- → Carry out a visual inspection of parts used.

Replace all clamps and holders you removed from the head airbag unit.

Check installation position of the head airbag unit:
Test strip for head airbag unit
- Do not twist the head airbag unit during installation .
- Do not twist head airbag rebound strap at the connection point .
- The test strip -1- must be completely visible over the entire length .
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
Screw in fastening screw for head airbag and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) .
