Installing Airbag Sensor On Inner C-Pillar

Incorrect handling of safety bolts
- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque
- → Always use new screws or nuts following removal.
- → Comply with instructions for repairs.
- → Observe specified tightening torques.
- → Carry out a visual inspection of parts used.
Information
- Make sure that the airbag sensor is positioned correctly .
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
Align airbag sensor on C-pillar with positioning pin in the slot of the C-pillar.
Leave a gap of at least 5 mm from the sound absorber and wiring harness. Cut the sound absorber if necessary.
Tighten new fastening screw to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) .
