Removing 48-Volt Auxiliary Battery

Removing 48-volt additional battery 

Observe specifications for handling 48-volt lithium-ion batteries.

For Cayenne Coupe, continue with Step  1

For all other vehicles, continue with Step  2

1. Remove cover on 48-volt additional battery.

   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws on cover -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Unclip cover on additional battery in -direction of arrow-  .
   3. 1.3  Remove cover on 48-volt additional battery.
2. Pull off both terminal caps -1-  on the 48-volt additional battery.

3. Unscrew fastening nuts -1-  on battery terminals and remove electric lines -2-  .

4. Release and disconnect vent hose -3-  from 48-volt additional battery.

5. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  .

6. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove battery cover -2-  .

7. Lift 48-volt additional battery -1-  out of the boot floor plate -Arrow-  .
