Removing The Starter

Risk of squashing or crushing
1. → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

CAUTION: Hot components

Risk of burns
1. → Let hot components cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Loosen wire harness for starter -1- from the holder.

Wire harness for starter
1. 1.1 Cut tie-wrap -2- .
Disconnect starter from engine wire harness.

Electric lines for starter
1. 2.1 Position the starter in such a way that the electric plug connection -1- and nut -2- are accessible.
2. 2.2 Secure the starter to prevent it from falling down.
3. 2.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
4. 2.4 Screw off nut -2- and remove B+ line -3- from the starter.
Remove starter -1- .

1. 3.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2- and -3- .
2. 3.2 Remove the starter -1- .
