Adjusting Rear Lid At The Top

Information 

  1. Check body gap dimensions.
  2. Loosen fastening screws -1-  securing hinge to rear lid on both sides so that the rear lid can still be moved.

  3. Adjust the height of the rear lid by moving the rear lid and ensure that the gap between the rear lid and roof is parallel. > Gap dimension 5.5 mm + 1.5 mm - 0.5 mm  > Gap dimension - 1.2 mm + 1 mm - 0.5 mm 
  4. Tighten fastening screws -1-  to > Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)  until secure.

    Information 

    Make sure that the roof trim panel does not buckle.

  5. Lower the rear roof trim panel until the nuts on the hinge are accessible.

  6. Adjust gap dimension of rear lid with respect to the roof.

    Fastening nut

    1. 6.1 Loosen fastening nuts securing hinge -1-  to roof at the rear on both sides so that the rear lid can still be moved.
    2. 6.2 Close the rear lid with your hand by applying slight pressure over the centre (handle area) and check the gap dimension.
    3. 6.3 Adjust the gap dimension of the rear lid with respect to the roof by moving the rear lid. > Gap dimension 5.5 mm + 1.5 mm - 0.5 mm  > Gap dimension - 1.2 mm + 1 mm - 0.5 mm 
    4. 6.4 Screw on fastening nuts -1-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)  .
